Taketomi Island 竹富島 is one of 8 inhabited islands of Taketomi Town 竹富町 and is located closest to Ishigaki Island.
The island is only 15 minutes from the port of Ishigaki by ferry and there are around 20 flights between Ishigaki Port and Taketomi Port in every 30 minutes.
