2022 Beach Opening Ceremony Coming Soon
Each government of Yaeyama Islands (Ishigaki, Taketomi, and Yonaguni) hosts a beach opening ceremony in turn every year to declare Japan's first beach opening.
Sukuji Beach of Ishigaki Island will be the next venue of the opening ceremony. Yaeyama Visitors Bureau-the host of the ceremony-has announced the ceremony will be conducted on March 19th, 2022 at the beach.
